Milk & Cookies with Santa: A Sweet Afternoon of Holiday Magic

There’s something a little different about the kind of holiday magic that happens when families gather around, cookies are shared, and Santa himself enters the building to say hello. This year's Milk & Cookies With Santa celebration was that kind of moment: warm, welcoming, lively, and brimming with spirit from beginning to end.

Hosted at the DoubleTree in Chesterfield, the room was buzzing from the moment the doors opened. Volunteers came early for setup and training, turning an empty space into a jovial holiday hub. Lights sparkled, craft tables filled up with glitter and creativity, and the cookie trays? Let’s just say they weren’t there for long.

Children spent the afternoon writing letters to Santa, showing off their handmade crafts, and taking part in plenty of milk-and-cookie breaks between activities. Families wandered about, laughing and taking photos that will without a doubt end up on fridges and calendars throughout next year.

The afternoon was designed for everyone to feel comfortable, welcome, and celebrated, from sensory-friendly stations to accessible spaces for movement. A big thanks goes to our awesome volunteers, who brought enthusiasm, holiday spirit, and a constant stream of warm smiles.

Events like this reflect the heart of our mission: creating moments of community and connection for the individuals and families we serve. Milk & Cookies is a dynamic holiday gathering, but also a reminder of what can be accomplished when we all come together in kindness. In celebration.
