Sensory-Friendly Morning at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art

Join Easterseals Midwest at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art for a sensory-friendly morning. The museum will open one hour early to provide families with a quiet and low-stimulation environment for viewing the art and enjoying hands-on art-making activities.

Visual resources, hand fidgets, a low-sensory break room, and other accommodations will be provided. 

Please use Block lobby and Block Plaza entrances. Parking in the museum garage is $14; free parking is available in the North Lot on 45th Street between Oak and Rockhill. Museum members park free. 

Registration

This event is free, but registration is required. Registration opens August 20, 2025.
