Sensory Sunday at Science City

We’re inviting you to be part of a morning designed with everyone's needs in mind. Inside Kansas City’s historic Union Station, Science City offers more than 300 interactive exhibits that spark curiosity, creativity, and discovery for all ages.

During this sensory-friendly event, we create a space where everyone can explore comfortably, confidently, and at their own pace.

Here’s what you can expect:

• Reduced Noise and Lighting - Sound effects off, softer lighting, and no flashing or strobe effects
• Limited Attendance - A smaller group from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM for a more relaxed experience
• Hands-On Exploration - Interactive exhibits and activities you can enjoy your way
• Flexible Experience - Move freely, take breaks, and engage at your comfort level
• Supportive Environment - A welcoming space designed for individuals with sensory sensitivities and their families

All guests will enter through the group entrance near the Planetarium for a smooth and easy arrival You’re welcome to stay and continue exploring Science City even after the event ends.
