Team Easterseals Goes the Distance at KC Marathon

The sun came up over downtown Kansas City to the gradual sound of sneakers and cheers, the kind of sound that feels like momentum spurring. Runners stretched, volunteers filled their coffee cups, and a bright wave of Easterseals orange and blue stood out on the race path to support the participants. From minute one all the way to the finish, the morning buzzed with a purpose: every mile covered, every moment shared, every helping hand in the crowd meant something more.

With 12 amazing volunteers, a few determined Team Easterseals runners, and just under $2,300 rasied, our impact stretched far beyond the finish line. Each step helped move our mission forward to support programs that empower people with disabilities to live, learn, work, and shine in their communities.

From cheering crowds to early-morning start lines, the day was filled with connection and the type of communal spirit that reminds us why we run: for possibility, for inclusion, for each other.

A big thank-you to every runner (1,542 in total), volunteer, and supporter who helped make this a special Saturday. Your journey and your trek matter, and every stride brings us closer to a world where everyone belongs.
