Confidence Can Take You Far: Sarah’s Journey to the National Stage

We believe confidence can change everything. Sarah’s story shows just how far it can take you.

Growing up in Michigan, Sarah dreamed of being part of her local Alpenfest Pageant. When she was told she didn’t meet the requirements, that dream felt out of reach. But it didn’t stop her in believing what was possible.

After moving to Missouri and connecting with our Southwest Missouri Autism Services, Sarah discovered Miss Amazing, a program designed to empower women and girls with disabilities. She took a chance, entered her first pageant in 2019, and was crowned Missouri Senior Miss Amazing. That moment reignited something powerful: belief in herself.

When she aged out of the program, it felt like another door had closed. But when a new Mentor category launched, Sarah stepped forward again. She didn’t win her first year but kept at it. The next year, she saved up for a bus ticket, prepared herself mentally using the skills she had built, and showed up ready.

That determination paid off. Sarah was crowned 2024 Missouri Miss Amazing Mentor Queen - and soon after, she took the national stage in Chicago. There, she led with encouragement, compassion, and confidence. Surrounded by a community that believed in her, Sarah was crowned 2024 National Miss Amazing Mentor Queen.

But, yet again, her impact didn’t stop there.

Today, we see Sarah continuing to lead by advocating at the Missouri State Capitol and giving back through volunteer work across her community. From food banks to neighborhood cleanups, she shows us what it means to turn confidence into something very real and meaningful.

Her message to all of us is simple and powerful:

"Never give up on your dreams. Keep growing. Keep going. Confidence can take you far."
