Over the past several weeks, three young boys have completed their ABA therapy journeys, each stepping forward into new school settings with stronger skills and enlightened futures. And now they can see just how far they’ve come.
All three arrived at the clinic with challenges that made everyday routines feel a little bit bigger. Some struggled to join peers during group activities. Others needed some more support with communication, classroom expectations, or navigating sensory environments. Their families came to us looking for progress, and as a whole, we gave them a path towards it.
This is transformation in action.
Growing Skills and Finding Voices
Across months of therapy, play, and support, every child made an incredible stride. Best of all, it was at their own pace… and in their own way.
Graduate One: Social and Ready for a New Road
This kid has completely blossomed into a social powerhouse. Once hesitant in group activities, he now works great in large inclusionary settings and proudly speaks about the friends he’s made. His parents believe he’s adjusting beautifully, and is very excited for his upcoming birthday, eager to celebrate with the new friends he has made.
Graduate Two: A School “Celebrity”
Another grad has shown some remarkable academic growth. His progress has allowed him to move into more advanced classes with close to no support, surprising even some of the seasoned educators. At his new school, teachers say he’s become somewhat of a “celebrity” - a familiar face who is welcomed with excitement wherever he goes.
Graduate Three: Ready for More Learning & Social Opportunities
The final graduate is transitioning into a less restrictive school setting where he can join his classmates for more educational, social, and play-based activities. His team has watched his confidence grow tenfold as he’s learned to navigate routines that once felt insurmountable. And now he’s stepping foot into classrooms where he can grow even more.
As a whole, all three boys will spend the majority of their school days in general education settings, which is an achievement that reflects their incredible work ethic, their families’ dedicated support, and the commitment of their ABA team.
A Graduation Worth Celebrating
At Englewood, graduation day feels like a parade. Therapists arrive with excitement and cheer on the children when they have their special moment. Parents capture it all in their own unique way, taking in what it felt like when they first stepped foot in the building compared to how they feel now.
Each graduate walked through that building surrounded by people who helped them build the necessary skills they’ll carry into preschool and kindergarten, and each family left knowing their child was ready…but more importantly, thriving.
A Future Full of Possibility
“We are proud to have been chosen to help our individuals reach their fullest potential and grateful for their families to have trusted us with their most prized possession,” says Julie Perry, Behavior Analyst at the Englewood Clinic.
The joy of these moments extends far beyond just the clinic. Each of these young learners is stepping into a world with more independence, more chances for discovery, and greater confidence than they could’ve ever imagined.
To all three of our graduates: Great job, boys! We are incredibly proud and we cannot wait to see the amazing things in store for your future.
