Summer outings should be enjoyable for every family.
Earlier this month, Melanie Mills, Autism Services Director for Easterseals Midwest in St. Louis, joined FOX 2 to discuss sensory-friendly activities and accommodations available throughout the region.
During the interview, Melanie highlighted resources such as sensory-friendly movie screenings, sensory kits, calming rooms, and special programming designed to help children with autism and sensory needs participate more comfortably in community activities.
"Everybody deserves to enjoy St. Louis," Melanie said during the segment. "It's wonderful to see local attractions creating welcoming experiences for people with disabilities and their families."
