Job Development Services

Through Job Development, we work to support and equip individuals with disabilities to find rewarding, competitive employment.

The employment staff at Easterseals Midwest creates individualized plans for each person, allowing us to match qualified applicants with meaningful jobs of their choice. Some of the support services we provide include:

• Developing a resume
• Filling out job applications
• Accompanying individuals on job interviews
• Scheduling job interviews
• Advocacy with employers regarding ongoing support and accommodations

After individuals find employment, we provide resources and support for program participants, employers, and coworkers to ensure a strong, rewarding work environment for all.

Community Partnerships

Through collaboration with the community and local employers, we help people with disabilities join the workforce. Together, we identify, educate, and recruit businesses in the St. Louis and Kansas City areas to employ people with disabilities, while providing the following services:

• Disability- and diversity-awareness trainings
• Recruitment and hiring
• Pre-screened candidates
• Job and task analysis
• Job-coaching and retention

Our ultimate goal is to connect local business communities with qualified applicants. Businesses gain valuable and dedicated employees and the chance to create a better, more inclusive world for people of all abilities.
